Kristy Shaw, BISW

Kristy Kaisowatum (Shaw) is Cree and Métis from Piapot First Nation and Lebret on Treaty 4 Territory. Kristy graduated from the First Nations University of Canada with a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work in 2022 and has been in a counselling setting since then. Kristy’s methodology to counseling includes somatic experiences, Indigenous approaches to healing alongside appropriate westernized techniques. 

Kristy is a Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) approved mental health therapist.

Currently, Kristy has partnerships with local organizations to provide individual, family, couples and group counseling and is available for referrals.
